Not really expensive ... and awesome!

I am a lip balm/lip gloss junkie. I'm not sure I can walk by a lip balm without considering buying it. I have been this way since my Bonnie Bell days. I must have two or three dozen tubes of lip balm (I never manage to actually finish one). This one is by far the best one I've used. It's not too slick, like some of the natural brands (so it doesn't slide off the minute I take a sip of water), and it doesn't dry my lips out (like drug store brands used to), and it glides on smoothly (no tugging). It is truly awesome.

It really isn't that expensive when you consider how big it is! The tube lasts FOREVER! I actually wish they made it in a smaller tube - I like to use different flavors, but three tubes of this stuff have literally lasted for YEARS.

My one question/complaint is: WHAT is the SPF level? I am slightly neurotic about sunscreen (my uncle was a dermatologist, and he drilled it into me pretty hard). Whenever I am outside and wearing lip balm, I use the highest SPF/UPF possible. I don't use this for that because I don't know - it could be anything from SPF 2 to SPF 50+. My assumption is that if it were SPF 15 or higher, they would advertise that, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. The product description says it has UVA/UVB protection (and it should, given that it contains titanium dioxide), but at what level? Because of that, I have to keep using other lip balms during the day - especially on days when I know I'll be outside a lot (which are also the days I'm most likely to be wearing lip balm (rather than gloss or lipstick)). I'd like to change that, but I need to know the SPF. Right now, I just put it on every night after I brush my teeth. Talk about lasting - I can usually still feel it on my lips in the morning when I wake up. I sometimes use it in the mornings under my lipstick, too. It keeps my lips soft.

A bit expensive but it works, so far

I'm a sucker for lip balms. I've been seeing this brand at my local Whole Foods and been trying to not buy it cos of the price. But today, I failed and purchased the rasberry flavored one. It's been over two hours since I've applied it and been drinking water and my lips still feel protected. WH has a 100% money back guarantee if I don't like it. But so far, it seems to be working well.
